*Blows dust away* Well hello friends! Long time no see!
If you’re new to this blog – welcome – and if you’re a returning visitor, welcome back!
If you would’ve told me at the beginning of my What’s Good Games maternity leave that, in the midst of this wild adventure of raising a NEWBORN, I’d get smacked with the urge to boot this website back up I probably would’ve scoffed while hitting you with a “CHYEA RIGHT.” After all, my desire to work on this lil’ site has been dormant since mid-2017, not to mention it’s been down (read: broken and busted and hacked) more times than I can count since then. (WHY someone wants to hack this thing is beyond me, but hey, whatever.)
You know what it was that lit a fire under my ass?
It was E3 2021 and watching all my friends and colleagues crush their coverage while I took this year off and watched from the sidelines…AKA the very definition of FOMO.
I mean, I really shouldn’t be surprised – it was E3 2009 that caused me to begin blogging about video games in the first place, so if anything were to cause me to give life to this dormant-ass website OF COURSE it would be E3.
So for the past month or so I’ve been tinkering and refamiliarizing myself with the ins and outs of website management. I’ve had to reorganize my menus, as a lot of content I was making back then just isn’t stuff that interests me anymore, I’ve added new posts like my Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness review and a few WGG/Co-op Show episodes, updated my “About Me” section and more. OHHH and I have a new banner on the way to replace that Majima “Under Construction” banner I put together…which I’m admittedly slightly proud of. Speaking of: this site is nowhere near where I want it to be right now, but I didn’t want that to stop me from posting the weird shit living in my brain.
I’m super excited to have this space back to fuck around with. This website has always been a fun, upbeat place to talk about whatever excites me – whether it’s industry shattering news or something silly like my newest Final Fantasy IX figures. (That last part is a real thing I’m excited to tell y’all about.)
It feels good to be back. I’ve missed this! ^_^
