You know what this world needs more of? Hot wings, Zelda games, Dragon Age sequels and 3D platformers. I’m talkin’ a’la Super Mario 64. No fuss, not a lot of extra shit to collect, just a bunch of shit to jump on, around, above and below. Ya dig?
For me to play a video game it typically needs an in-depth story to keep me hooked. But there’s something about 3D platform titles I can’t get enough of. Perhaps it’s the “OH SHIT!” leap of faith onto a moving platform only a 3D perspective can give you. I dunno. Either way, there aren’t enough in this world and I hope Poi can help alleviate my, uh, 3D platformer frustration.
Poi is currently in development for PC and Mac, and developer PolyKid Games hopes to crowdfund some dinero in the future. Hopefully sooner rather than later — I can see Poi appealing to the masses and I’d love to see this bad boy on consoles.
