This will work similar to the logs I keep, but you know I need to add in my own snarky remarks in red ;)

Boots’ Guest Game Log #5: – Dragon Age: Origins

Remember kids, this is a Game Log, where we talk about our experiences throughout play in great detail. So SPOILERS ABOUND (maybe)!!!

As I mentioned in the last installment, I am falling slowly in love with this world. The lore behind the Ferelden and the Blight is highly intriguing. Throw in tales of persecution (apostates), corruption (stupid Loghain), and heartbreak (multiple examples) and you have a world that carries true emotion. It’s been a fun journey up to this point and I’m having a good time.

[::puffs chest out::]

That’s not to say that there haven’t been faults, however. In fact, there have been many, many flaws that have soured my experience on the 360 version at times throughout my travels of this land. Some of them have passed as I got the hang of certain things, others continue to haunt me to this very day. So, instead of a progress report, allow me to take a “sidequest” and talk to you about some of the things that have given me reasons to rage.

[::un-puffs chest:: You’re playing on the 360. THERE’S your problem! But I’ll shut up and listen to your bitching like a good friend. (Minus the whole “shut up” part.)]

Part One: Tactical Meltdown

Here’s the thing. I’m good at walking up to an enemy, hitting the attack button, and watching them perish at my hand. It’s easy, it’s intuitive, it feels good. This is how I also try to play RPGs. Most times, it’s not a terrible strategy. However, in Dragon Age, you can’t just do this and be victorious.

The problem lies in your party. You have to tell them what to do. And while you can switch to each of them and control them individually, that doesn’t fly when things are getting dire. Many times in missions I have found one particular party member dying frequently, forcing them backwards on the level progression.

The solution, of course, is the Tactics menu. Here you can set things up so your allies will perform certain actions depending on the battle parameters. Use a health potion when it dips to 25%, attack the nearest enemy, cause paralysis on your target… setting like this do wonders for the survival of your friends. It’s really quite a simple system and fun to play around with.

[I was gonna say, OHAI BRO, there’s this thing called Tactics. ;D]

Health is pretty important.

Of course, the game could have coached you through this bit of important gameplay, but NO! Either I missed it, or there was absolutely no proper tutorial on how to use this feature. The worst thing a game can do is have a wonderful trick to employ but not train the player on how to take full advantage of it.

As I struggled against a group of Blood Mages in an abandoned building in Denerim, I was feeling quite inadequate in my skills and turned to Twitter as a last resort. Once somebody told me of a proper way to utilize the Tactics feature, I’ve been pretty good since then, but I was a bit bothered that the game never trained me in its use.

But at least I know I don’t suck, now.

[You suck for not exploring all of the menu options, n00b! Also, <3]

Part Two: The Unspinning Wheel

Another case of “I know it’s there, but nobody told me how to use it.”

Thinking back, that sentence may or may not reflect why I’m divorced…

But let’s not get into that. I’m talking about the in-game rotary menu. Normally, I just assigned wanted skills to the controller buttons and accessed inventory by pressing the Back button and going from there. It wasn’t a bad thing aside from the constant shuffling of duties for the triggers, bumpers, and control stick. All was fine until one of my characters got injured.

You see, after playing for a good 5 hours with the affliction (which was never indicated as an injury and I thought was some sort of buff), I discovered that I needed to use an injury kit. So into the inventory I went, found one and pressed “A”.

Nothing.

I did it again. No luck.

This went on for some time and I was growing further and further angry with each failure. Luckily I was on a Skype call with someone who is also playing the game as this was happening, so I asked her what I was doing wrong. She asked me if I was using the “wheel” to access the item. I didn’t think that would be a big deal since the inventory should also work.

Left side bad, right side good.

Well, it doesn’t. You have to use the wheel.

Ok, so that’s cool. I can deal with that. Of course, now whenever I’m skyping with the same fellow player and expressing any kind of trouble, she always says “Use the wheel.” Such a smartass. XD

[HAHAHA! Dude, that sucks. To be completely honest I don’t remember that flaw seeing as the last time I played DA:O (on the 360) was YEARS ago. PC, my friend. PC.]

Part Three: Backpacks -OR- I Am Not An Outdoorsman

Item limits are a problem, especially in RPGs. Having them in a game that’s loot-driven is especially difficult, but normally there are ways to alleviate the issue. Dragon Age: Origins has these in the form of backpacks, which you can buy in certain shops around the land of Ferelden.

Assuming, of course, that you A) have the money, and B) remember to look for them.

You see, as a n00bketeer to this game (fantastic cross-promotion), I didn’t have the wherewithal to look for these and may have missed a couple early opportunities to gain more inventory space. In fact, I missed the first three: Two in Ostagar and one in Lothering.

Needless to say, I cannot return to those areas after the darkspawn have raged through, so they are lost forever to me. As it stands, I did manage to find one in the Grey Warden camp and one somewhere else, but I still have the problem of being way too full when I go to pick up weapons and armor and things. It would’ve been nice if there was some indication of backpacks as a necessary item, but maybe I’m being picky.

[Yeah, that is rather unfortunate. I could be a smartass and blame you for not checking all of the merchant’s items, but you’re right. I ADMIT IT. I mean, what if someone NEVER figured out backpacks were a thing? That would royally blow.]

Just give me a storage closet like Fallout. That’d be nice.

Then again, this world has demons, mages, dragons, shape-shifting witches, and all kinds of otherworldly influences. It couldn’t hurt to give me a goddamned bottomless bag for my stuff, could it? Sure it’s unrealistic. So are talking trees, but that’s in here, too. I mean, really… cut me a break, BioWare!

I’ve heard tales that one of the DLC expansions helps alleviate this issue, but I’m not about to give money to fix what should be basic game design. Also, I’m poor, so eff that.

[Bahahaha. A bottomless bag would be rather helpful, especially for one like yourself who hates inventory management. But really, that’s just you being lazy. MAN I’m on a role tonight.]

So, in my total Dragon Age experience, these are probably the main issues I’ve run into. I have a few more but they don’t require me going into detail since they’re pretty easy to forgive. I just wish the game had been better at teaching me the proper way to play it at the outset. I don’t buy all the guides to every game (fifteen times) like the Blonde Nerd herself does.

[HEY. I only own three per game. And that’s only because they’re made by different publishers. IT IS TOTALLY JUSTIFIABLE.]

Maybe I should blame myself. I’m a gamer from an older time. I should’ve known better and read the manual thoroughly. That probably would’ve saved me a lot of time. It’s quite extensive for a current-gen game, too.

But now that I’ve got my whining out of the way, it’s time to return to the game with fun on my mind as I help Viktor and the gang gather support for the Grey Wardens and continue their quest to hunt down Teryn Loghain and stop the Blight.

With a perpetually full inventory.

At all times.

[YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I can’t wait to see your reaction as the story unravels. ::rubs hands together::]

The post Boots’ Guest Game Log #5: – Dragon Age: Origins first appeared on A video game blog and other shenanigans | Blondenerd.com.

This will work similar to the logs I keep, but you know I need to add in my own snarky remarks in red ;)

Boots’ Guest Game Log #4: – Dragon Age: Origins

For those of you who don’t know… THIS GAME LOG CONTAINS MAJOR-ASS SPOILERS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER (in Ferelden)!!! Proceed at your own risk!

I have revisited this game quite often since the last update, and I have to admit, it’s growing on me. There were, however, some major growing pains. For now, let’s talk about where Viktor left off…

[HAHAHAHA. Bitch. Told you it would.]

It was time to light the beacon at the top of the Tower of Ishal. Alistair whined about having to leave the main battle down below (pansy) and we ventured forth to the top. Of course, Alistair also complained about the darkspawn inside, so he’s just being a sissy bitch all over the place. Just fight, you big baby!

[Okay, I’m convinced you’re just trying to piss me off, Boots, AND IT’S WORKING. Why is Alistair a pansy for NOT wanting to leave the battle below – a battle which is SUICIDE?!!!! YOU ARE THE PANSY! Ahem. ::fans self::]

We eventually made our way to the top floor where there was an epic battle with an ogre. It wasn’t that difficult of a fight, but I was very happy to see Viktor jump at the ogre while plunging his blade deep into the beast’s chest, then proceed to stab him through the forehead when he was down. It was beautiful. Sexy, even.

So the beacon was lit, and Loghain was gonna march in with his army and wipe out this pansy-ass wave of darkspawn and save Ferelden from doom. I couldn’t wait to see this epic battle. Loghain surveyed the situation, analyzed his strategy… and left.

Wow, great battle plan you got there.

DUDE! WHAT THE HELL, BRO?!

Now this jagoff is going around saying that the Grey Wardens killed King Cailan and betrayed the land? Yo buddy… FUCK YOU! Of course, darkspawn also invaded the tower and over took Alistair and I. It sucked. We got beat up bad, but we awoke in a strange hut with Morrigan and her mother, Flemeth, who was supposedly some fabled witch of lore. After dealing with her headache for saving us, she basically told her daughter to eff off and join us as we set out to clear the name of the Wardens and stop Loghain. Morrigan wasn’t too thrilled, but she’s stuck with us, now.

[DON’T YOU HATE LOGHAIN?! God. That bastard. I’ll keep it spoiler free, but if you’re interested in the backstory/lore of DA:O you should for seriously check out the novels written by Gaider. They are so gooood, and it provides some depth to Loghain.]

Following a lead to Lothering, we ran into some stupid bandits trying to force a toll on us. I was able to persuade them to let us by, cuz you don’t fuck with the Grey Wardens, son. Of course, that peace didn’t last long when I tried to open their storage chest. They drew their swords, but they were no match for me and my new friends. The leader burned as I chuckled at his feeble skills.

[HAHAHAHA. I could just see you going over there and trying to loot the chest. “Hmm, don’t mind if I do…”]

In the town is where the game started to hook into me. Finally I was given a few areas to roam through and several quests to accomplish. I had a lot of fun making Morrigan change into a spider as I backstabbed many bad dudes. Hell, I even picked up a couple new party members along the way in Leliana and the giant Qunari warrior, Sten. He’s got corn rows.

The definition of “sliver fox.”

[YES!!! I’m so glad you picked up Sten. If you didn’t at Lothering you never would have been able to. SQUEE! And yes, a silver fox. We were, like, besties in my playthrough. <3]

After Lothering, it was decided that we needed to use the Grey Warden treaties to recruit the different clans of Ferelden to our aid, so I had free reign to go anywhere I chose to begin the process. Instead of getting right at it, though, I decided to just hack away at sidequests as much as possible and headed to Denerim. This was both a good and bad idea.

I mean, I like sidequests, but it feels like I can’t walk 2 steps without picking up a new one. I’m beginning to think that this game will never end with all the duties I have to cover, but it’s for the glory of Ferelden and the honor of the Grey Wardens. Even if all I have to do is buy a bunch of toxin extracts, I WILL DO SO!

[Yeah dude, I feel you. It’s a LOT easier to do them as you pick ‘em up, because as the story evolves some of the quests won’t be doable anymore and you’ll be stuck with incomplete quests in your queue. And THAT sucks.]

It was nice, however, to see a familiar face. Imagine my surprise when I ran into my former second, GORIM! My bro-from-down-below (in the depths of Orzamaar, you sickos) was living a good life selling Dwarven-crafted armor and weapons. Good quality shit, too. Much of it too expensive and beyond my skill level to wield, unfortunately. Still, he looked happy, and that was good to find out.

Dwarves have killer beards.

I explored much of the city that was available to me and picked up on contracts to fulfill, but one in particular involving a group of rampant Blood Mages gave me fits. It wasn’t pretty at all, other than the fact that it gave my friend Cammy a chance to pick on me for days.

This is also where I began to confront problems with the game that sent me into a rage for a good 4 hours. I was NOT a happy camper… but I’ll get into that next time in great detail. No one is safe!

Hey guys! My buddy Tony (AKA Boots) is popping his Dragon Age: Origins cherry and has graciously volunteered to keep a guest game log. This will work similar to the logs I keep, but you know I need to add in my own snarky remarks in red ;)

Boots’ Guest Game Log #3: – Dragon Age: Origins

I’ve been playing a number of games lately, but it’s been difficult to put that Dragon Age: Origins disc back into the Xbox. RPGs are always a tough start for me, mostly because of inventory management. I. Hate. Inventory. Management. But I knew I had to get back into the world and defeat this blight, so after a little bit of preparation, I sat down with a buffalo sauce-flavored snack and returned to Ostagar.

[You were dead to me until you mentioned something about buffalo sauce. Nice save, Tony.]

Bringing buffalo sauce back to the site. It’s been a while.

[Not enough sauce. If this was my plate of noms, the entire thing would be red with Frank’s. Just saying, you’re a pansy. Then again I’m the one with a hurt bunghole.]

I explored the Grey Warden camp throughly, taking any available treasure I could get my grubby little dwarven hands on and talking with anyone who’d listen. I ran into a group from the Chantry as they whipped up some mystical mumbo-jumbo and met a man caring for a pen full of dogs, one of which needed a flower for medicine. Eventually, I made my way to the man of the hour, Alistair.

[::gets excited::]

Now, as all you Blondenerd readers know, it’s tough to say this digital man’s name without tripping over Britt’s ladyboner. Once I stepped over that obstacle, I initiated a conversation with the man.

[::gets even more excited::]

First impression: Holy crap, what a dingus.

[………]

Right off the bat, he gets snippy with some dude for no other reason than him being a mage. Of course, I came to find out that he was once a Templar, trained to essentially police the actions of all Magi. In other words, he’s borderline racist. Awesome. I can see that this guy might not be my best friend in the future.

[Oh, Tony. Oh Boots. Oh my dear friend. I…I don’t even know where to begin. Your small brain is so new and fresh to Dragon Age: Origins that you cannot possibly understand the dynamics and personalities of all characters within. Therefore I will let this little jab pass. Also, expect to hear from my attorney.]

Hi, I’m judgmental and aloof. Ladies love that!

So after talking with him, we were sent off into the Korcari Wilds to prepare for The Joining and collect the Grey Warden Treaties. I gathered up the necessary amount of Darkspawn blood and killed just about everything in sight. As I got deeper into the land, I bumped into Morrigan, and her mother. They kept us at arms length, but no harm was done and they gave us the treaties.

[What? No comments on her epic boobs?]

I returned to Ostagar and gave the medicinal flower to the guard with the doggies. One of them really liked me after that and I was told that he might become my personal pet. I’m fine with that, as long as he doesn’t poop all over my things. Eventually, it was time to be inititated into the group properly.

[DUDE! I was never told that one of them might become my personal pet :(. I wonder if it’s because you’re playing as a dwarf and you’re like, good at reading animals and shit.]

So the ritual to join the Grey Wardens is to drink Darkspawn blood? Wonderful. Apparently, if you make it out alive, you’ll be able to sense the Darkspawn in your veins but they in turn will sense you more easily. Sound like a stupid plan, to me, but what could I do? Myself and my buddies Jory and Daveth came along for the ride. It was time to feast on the blood of our enemy.

Daveth went first. He drank that blood like a pro. Unfortunately, confidence wasn’t enough, as the cursed liquid drove him to his doom. Whoops. Next up was Jory. A bit of a cherubic fellow, he was, but good with a blade and loyal to his family. That loyalty, however, got him freaked out when he saw Daveth pass. He was afraid to abandon his family, afraid to make the sacrifice for the greater good. Duncan was most displeased and, as the tradition states, forced to eliminate the man with a sword through the sternum. What a chicken.

[I loved how chill Duncan was whilst his blade penetrated that Daveth’s sternum.]

And so, it was time for me to taste from the stained chalice. As Duncan said in his own words, I was called upon to submit myself to the taint. It was a request that I could not resist. My dwarf took the demon juice into his mouth and swallowed every drop. It was kinda hot.

Is this my “O”-Face?

[Wait, what? I thought you were an ugly dwarf man. Hmmmm….unless you just stole a photo off of the internet. STEALER!!!!]

I saw a vision. They tell me it was an archdemon. I would’ve just called it a dragon. I mean, that’s what it was, right? Either way, when I awoke, Duncan and Alistair were standing over me, awaiting my return to reality. After letting them violate my body, I was now one of them.

[Yes. A dragon. An old dragon God that leads tons of darkspawn into a blight in an attempt to destroy the land of Ferelden. Same thing.]

Our next mission was to light a beacon in the nearby tower. The goal was to signal the armies under Teryn Loghain’s command to aid the Grey Wardens against the oncoming onslaught. So with Alistair (who complained about having to come along), I headed for the stone structure. We had a job to do, and we were going to end this quick and easy…

[OOOH. This is one of my favorite parts. SUCH EPIC BATTLING. I don’t know if you can handle it, Tony. Oh. I’m still upset about your Alistair comment from earlier.]

The post Boots’ Guest Game Log #3: – Dragon Age: Origins first appeared on A video game blog and other shenanigans | Blondenerd.com.

Boots’ Guest Game Log #2: – Dragon Age: Origins

Well well… it’s been a few months, hasn’t it?

[YOU THINK?!]

I should explain. You see, way back in December of “oh-eleven”, Britt convinced me that I had to play this game in order to appreciate the sequel. I use that description loosely since it seems that most people think of it as the inferior title. But hey, it was $10, so I can’t complain.

Shortly after, she agreed to let me do this Game Log so she could vicariously live through my fresh new experiences while injecting her own thoughts. Naturally, I put it off for 5-and-a-half months but, after having her yell at me last week, I decided to finally begin this epic adventure and put an end to her suffering.

[Whoever said Dragon Age: Origins is an inferior title to Dragon Age II was clearly dropped as a child or ate way too many crayons. Even the creators of Dragon Age have said they know they sorta-kinda fugg’d up in Dragon Age II. But don’t get me started.]

Of course, in true Britt fashion, I couldn’t just play the game. I knew that doing this log would require invoking the spirit of the Blonde Nerd, so I whipped up a little snack to begin my journey.

The mystic power of buffalo sauce will guide me to victory!

[Tony, you’re doing it right. This is basically pr0n.]

As with all of these games, I usually take way too long creating my character, so I left my hero in the hands of chance. Using a random number generating website, I plugged in the data for each slider and ended up with a Noble Rogue Dwarf. The hardest part was coming up with his name, but I’ve decided that since I love Dr. Doom so much, I’m going to go with Viktor as my standard RPG name from here on out.

He's a little purple, but it's hard to breathe in that armor!

[Props, dude. I can never stray away from the typical Human Warrior. Actually, make that a FEMALE Human Warrior. After all, one cannot engage in Holy Matrimony with King Alistair otherwise.]

Turns out that I’m the 2nd son of the Dwarven King Endrin Aeducan (pronounced eye-DOO-kin, which made me say it like the Street Fighter ‘hadouken’ in my head every time). My 2nd, Gorim, informed me that I was to be named Commander of an army so I had to visit my father at the ceremonial feast. This all sounded well and good, but I had a land to explore, so I went wandering.

I met all kinds of people. My younger brother’s mistress, numerous merchants and servants, and of course, my brothers themselves. Bhelen was my younger bro and seemed like a cool dude, while older bro Trian heir to the throne, was a complete cockatoo. All he wanted to do was tell me how much of a pissant I was. I scoffed at his bullshit and went and battled in the Provings… victoriously, of course. On the way back, a merchant gave me this kickass electric sword which I proudly accepted. I also ran into Bhelen who told me that Trian was going to try and have me killed. No wonder he was such a dingus! I agreed to keep my eyes open and headed for the feast… but not before I ran into two Barbara Streisand lookalikes that wanted to ravage me and have my babies.

With looks like this, how could I say no?

[BAHAHAHAHA!! Ahem. For serious, this is thuper interesting to me because like I said I’ve never started an origin besides a Human Warrior. Also, Bhelen is a bitch. I never liked guy.]

In the King’s Chambers, I met Duncan of the Grey Wardens and had a chat about possibly joining them. I also met Lord Dace, who tried to get me to support him in regaining nobility rights for the surface dwarves, to which I originally agreed. However, someone informed me of his true agenda so I made him look like a fool in front of the other Nobles. That’s what you get when you mess with this dwarf, son. Shortly afterwards, I was dubbed Commander by my father and sent to recover the Lost Shield of Aeducan from the Deep Roads.

Before reaching the Shield, my party and I ran into a group of bandits that had gotten a hold of an Aeducan ring and were attempting to get the shield for themselves. I made short work of them with my taser sword, assuming that Trian was the one who supplied them the ring. We recovered the artifact easily and headed out, only to find Trian on the ground, dead. As I examined the body, the King and Bhelen approached. Bhelen then accused me of killing my own brother in hopes of gaining the throne.

Bhelen! Bro! WHAT THE EFF ARE YOU DOING?

Of course, I had no strong alibi, and I was sentenced to exile. However, before leaving, Lord Harrowmont sympathized with me and gave me some ragtag equipment to fight with in the Deep Roads. While exploring the caves, I ran into Duncan and his band of merry Grey Wardens, so they took me in and led me to their camp in Ostagar. Upon arrival, I met the human King, Cailan, and he seemed rather eager to fight. What a fool.

I may be crazy, but I'm almost certain that your pretty armor won't stay that way.

Oh well, maybe he’s a decent warrior for all I know. As it stands, it looks like I’ll be joining the ranks of these heralded protectors. I just have to talk to this “Alistair” character, first…

Also, those buffalo chicken bites were fantastic.

[Your life is forever going to change after you meet Alistair. Trust me. It is. Then you’ll stop making fun of me and of my love for him. YOU WILL TONY!!!!]

The post Boots’ Guest Game Log #2: – Dragon Age: Origins first appeared on A video game blog and other shenanigans | Blondenerd.com.

This will work similar to the logs I keep, but you know I need to add in my own snarky remarks in red ;)

Boot’s Guest Game Log #1: – Dragon Age: Origins

I bet Britt is so jealous right now

I have a confession to make. I never intended to play this game.

[Tony, I used to think you were cool.]

Right now, I can just imagine Britt reading that last sentence and falling into a choking fit like she just ate some honey greek yogurt. I’m sure the taste in her mouth from my statement is quite similar.

[Oh, the infamous greek yogurt incident. If you haven’t heard that clusterfuck—aka the battle between myself and a spoonful of greek yogurt—you can check it out here (skip to 1:05). Tony’s comment will make total sense, I promise. Because there really is no better way to put it!]

Perhaps I should clarify. You see, I have this thing about fantasy/medieval settings. They don’t hook me very well. It’s weird cuz I like magic, I like swords, and I definitely love dragons… but somehow, I just couldn’t seem to get into these things. Lord of the Rings? Meh. Braveheart? No interest. Harry Potter? Well, that’s set in current times, but it has enough of a fantasy feel to it that I just kinda said “No need to see this,” and moved on my merry way.

[Again, Tony, I used to think you were cool. What do you mean, fantasy settings don’t “hook” you?! Have you ever felt the comforting weight of a Morning Star or Mace in your hand? My guess is no. But in your defense I have yet to watch Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, or half of the Harry Potter films and, unlike you, I am a complete nutcase for medieval/fantasy lore. So I think that automatically makes me somewhat of a loser.]

Lo and behold, Best Buy recently had a deal where Dragon Age II was $9.99. At that price, I’ll buy just about any game that I have a butthair of interest in, so I ordered it and set it for store pick-up. Walking on the way to the store that day, I got into an exchange with the Blonde Nerd herself on Gchat. The following is an excerpt of our conversation:

Tony – “BTW, I’m walking 2 miles in 35-degree weather to pick up Dragone Age 2 at Best Buy.”

Britt – “…my God.”

Tony – “$10, yo. Couldn’t say ‘no’, haven’t played yet. Should I play Origins first?

Britt – “…you…..haven’t played Origins yet?

Tony – “I’m sorry!!!”

[HAHA, first of all, props for usage of the word “butthair”. Second, I remember this conversation. It always makes me laugh when folks ask if they should play Dragon Age: Orgins (AKA Dragon Age 1) or Dragon Age 2 (AKA Dragon Age 2 :P) first. In my opinion—and I’m going to try my hardest not to go on an epic tangent here—Dragon Age 2 doesn’t even exist on the same PLANET–no, UNIVERSE as DA:Origins. I think 90% of the enjoyment I got out of Dragon Age 2 was because I had played DA:Origins and studied that friggen’ game from the inside-out— ::covers mouth in a feeble attempt to stop any more Dragon Age ranting::]

Now, those of us that frequent Britt’s amazing blog know that she’s purchased no less than 28 copies of the game and has finished it at least double that amount. In fact, she loves it so much, I’m sure that she could probably describe Alistair to a sketch artist and get the smuttiest picture of a digital man ever created. None of that’s important, of course. I merely use it to show our differing level of fandom for the game in question. Of course, in an effort to avoid being scolded, I decided that I should pick Origins up and play it before I started the second game. I found one at Gamestop for cheap and I had to let Britt know. You may have seen her reaction.

[Whaddya mean, “none of that’s important,”MR ZUNIGAGAGA?! I pride myself on knowing every…single…inch of Alistair’s body.

Actually, yeah, that’s pretty pathetic.]

…and that’s how this came to be. She wants to live vicariously through my playthrough of this game, and who am I to deny her of the experience? As a Dragon Age virgin, I’m sure she can’t wait to watch me pop my cherry as I begin to play. If anything, I’m sure she values the time it’ll save her from playing to allow her to focus on more important things, like hot wings. Either way, I hope that my experiences entertain and give Britt the Dragon Age-satisfaction she so desires.

Let the journey begin…

[Damn, you know me well! Hot wings are the elixir of life. And you can friggen’ quote me on that.

But seriously, I am very excited to follow Tony’s adventures as he travels across Ferelden. Who will he kill? Who will he have awkward tent-sex with? And when it comes time to make that last minute decision about that enemy, what will he choose? GAH! It’s all so exciting to me.

Now Tony, I believe it is time to decide whether or not you want to be a male or a female, and which race you want to venture as. Last I heard you still hadn’t made a decision! ;) ]

The post Boots’ Guest Game Log #1: – Dragon Age: Origins first appeared on A video game blog and other shenanigans | Blondenerd.com.
