Oh yes. Oh yes oh yes.
About a year ago I helped fund this bad boy on Kickstarter and holy hell, it looks like it has shaped up rather nicely. I mean, c’mon. You can’t watch that trailer and not get a tingly sensation somewhere on your body.
Via the The Hollywood Reporter:
From executive producer Zach Braff and director Jeremy Snead, Video Games: The Movie chronicles the meteoric rise of video games from nerd niche to multibillion-dollar industry. Narrated by Sean Astin and featuring in-depth interviews with industry godfathers, the icons of game design and the geek gurus who are leading us into the future, the film is a celebration of gaming from Atari to Xbox and an eye-opening look at what lies ahead.
The film was produced by Cliff Bleszinski (aka CliffyB) and Snead and features interviews with Braff, Chris Hardwick, Wil Wheaton, Nolan Bushnell, Hideo Kojima, Cliff Bleszinski and Alison Haislip.
Video Games: The Movie will be released theatrically on July 18th in United States and Canada. If you’re Antsy McGee you can find it on iTunes and other devices a few days earlier on July 15th. For more information, may I suggest you mosey on over to the official website?
OH. Uh. there may or may not be a, like, ten second clip of yours truly in the movie credits blabbing on and on about something or another. That should be interesting. HA. ::nervously bites lip::
