Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Hideo Kojima has announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at GDC.

If you recall, The Phantom Pain was first teased during the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards. Do you remember Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes as well? (If you don’t, it was announced during that MGS 25th anniversary event in Tokyo last August.) Well, it sounds like Metal Gear Solid V actually is MGS: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain combined, thus the spliced trailers from the two games you see above.

Confused yet? ;D

Don’t hate me, but I have yet to play a MGS title. Growing up it just wasn’t my thing, but now that I’m, like, older and stuff I’ve been biting at the bit to get into this series. (I even had intentions back in 2009 when I bought MGS4 — it’s still in the shrink wrap!)

If you’re a fan of the MGS series let me know how warm and fuzzy this trailer makes you, because I gotta admit  even though I don’t know a damn thing that’s going on,  this looks to be full of badassery.

  1. Warm and fuzzy doesn’t even start to describe how that trailer made me feel like XD.
Honestly, you have to give the MGS series a try, They’re gems among all the CoD like shooters out there nowadays (Minus Bioshock). Only one word of warning, prepare yourself for a lot of “Wtf o.O” moment during cutscenes :P
