For those of you unfamiliar with the, ahem, situation regarding me and the Mass Effect 3 collector’s edition, you can head over here to get caught up, or, if you’re feeling lazy, all you need to know is that I ordered a Mass Effect 3 CE from Target.com and I am a little pessimistic it’ll ever make it to my front door.
Soooo…I was enjoying a little getaway last weekend when I received this email:
Okay, sure, this doesn’t mean I’m completely screwed out of a CE, and anyone who knows me knows I’m always a glass-half-full kinda chick, but I have a baaaad feeling about this! I thought it was weird that they were going to cancel my order unless I approved the delay. Is that typical? I’ve never ordered a videogame or anything online before it releases, so maaaaybe this is the norm and just Target covering their ass in case the delay turns out to be longer than expected.
What I’m hoping isn’t the case: Target either A) Didn’t actually order any of the ME3 CE and are now scrambling, which is useless because BioWare has said they cannot make any more ME3 CE by launch or B) They ran out of pre-orders by the time I pre-ordered mine and are hoping to get more in stock, which is the cause for the possible delay.
I approved the delay and now wait with crossed fingers, toes and other body parts you probably didn’t even know could be crossed.
This also is kind of weird because Target has already charged me. Hmmmm…
I know, I know. I’m worrying WAY too much about this, but again, if you know me you know I eat, sleep and breathe collector’s editions of videogames; ESPECIALLY for games like Mass Effect 3!
I’ll continue crossing my body parts until it is in my hands. ;D
