Look How Far Resident Evil 0 Has Come

Well if this didn’t tug on my nostalgia strings, I..uh, don’t know what ever…could? I fucked that opener up, didn’t I?

Anyway, this is super cool to watch, especially as a Resident Evil fan. Crazy to see the N64-era graphics (the prototype) and how great the graphical leap really was to GameCube. AND I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU SAY I’LL STILL PLAY THE THIRD PERSON TANK-LIKE CONTROLS OVER THAT FANCY GEARS OF WAR-ESQUE GAMEPLAY SHIT ANY DAY. (<— can’t let go of the past.) (Also, I love Gears of War, but just not in my Resident Evil.)

Resident Evil 0 remastered is…shuffling…(like a zombie, get it?) to consoles and PC early next year.

  1. I agree. I recently reinstalled Resident Evil 2 Platinum and RE3: Nemesis on my PC, and though I enjoy the 3rd person camera+movement of post RE4 games, I truly love the original formula of Pre-RE4 games. Nemesis and Code Veronica are my all time favorite resident evil games.

  2. I was lucky enough to play the N64 version at E3 (like 2001 or 2002 I believe)… I was super pumped for that and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine for N64 and then neither of them got launched correctly (Indy finally made it out in limited release). What they really, really, really need to do is make an HD Remake of RE2 in the same fashion of how they did 1 and 0. RE2 is arguably the best RE game, and for that to be lost to time is an outrage.
