Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Trailer Has Me Confused

Wanna watch a Kingdom Hearts n00b-tube attempt to follow the story lore order of what is quite possibly the most confusing series of all time?

Okay, so Kingdom Hearts 2.5…er, wait, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX takes place after the events of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. During KH HD 2.5 ReMIX you will, uhhh, also explore the origins in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX (as opposed to the first mix) as well as experience Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded HD cinematics. OH! There’s also a remastered version of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. So, like, that’s cool.

Wat.

Ha! One of these days I’ll get to the series, man. One of these days. I remember when KH originally released back in, what, 2002? All of my friends were hyped, but I never partook in the KH festivities as I was turned off by Disney being a part of the game. My 13-year-old self assumed the title would be shallow, kiddy and DAMMIT if any game wasn’t like Final Fantasy IX I didn’t want any part of it. (Zidane being excluded from Kingdom Hearts may or may not have had something to do with my bitterness.) Today I totally regret not getting into the series that I’m older and wiser (BAHAHA RIGHT) especially now that I can’t keep track of these friggen’ games, and whenever people start talking Kindom Hearts it’s like a whoooooooooole ‘nother language.

All that being said, though, the trailer does look good and it does look like something I’d enjoy. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get a wild hair up my ass and will start the series. Could be cool.

Are you into KH? Care to give me a run-down version of WTF I talked about in the second paragraph?

  1. KH is a terrific series but is ridonkulous how convoluted the story is and how many systems the game span. I have the original and sequel for the PS2, the GBA title Chain of Memories (and at first I thought it was cool to play and expierence KH “on the go” so to speak) and then I purchased re:Chain of Memories for the PS2 (which I never actually PLAYED as it was literally the same as the GBA title but ported to PS2). My biggest peeve is all of the DS, cell phone, and 3DS titles…well, it is getting a bit ridiculous – and by I a bit I mean alot, and by alot I mean I’m pretty fed up. I was hoping to see an ACTUAL sequel for the PS3…nope. But the PS4 will be receiving one, y’know, ’cause I don’t actually own one of those…yet. It is totally unfair how fans are being milked like cash cows because this series is so much better than that. It is so magical and awesome and it is one of my favorite childhood game I would like to see continued properly and, well explained! Because we all know none of those handheld games make any fricking sense…/endrant

  2. *chuckles* am I the only person that understand the Kingdom Hearts story (most of it at least? lol). I actually LOVE the games that are on the DS…Re:Coded wasn’t anything special, though it did continue the story from Kingdom Hearts 2. 358/2 Days was alright…I loved the explanation of Roxas/Axel/Xion’s friendship and to see the Organization a bit more. I personally don’t think the series is all that convoluted…they’ve just gone in a very round-about way of telling the story. It’s like Star Wars in that way…it started in the middle, then went back to the beginning. 1 and 2 are definitely the best in the series, with a close tie for third place between Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance. Honestly, the games are fantastic…some are a bit hard to get through (the portable games, with exception of BBS and DDD) but that’s okay…the story is definitely worth it :) I promise, it’s not that complicated.
