But, uh, there hasn’t been an official announcement or anything SO I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF THIS.
Speaking with Videogamer, lead producer Alex Mayberry dropped the awesome bomb. “I don’t know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can’t really comment on what that contract looks like. The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run.”
“We’ve already done it with the 360 and PS3, so that team knows how to develop at the same time for both of those platforms. That’s just what we do. And then Blizzard and Microsoft can work out whatever they work out.”
According to Mayberry, the Ultimate Evil Edition’s launch is “not far off”.
Okay, Microsoft. Hop on that shit and get that port! I know I’m kicking a dead Epona here, but I can’t say it enough — I will give my firstborn for this expansion to come to Xbox One. I WILL GIVE MY EVERYTHING. And the reason for that is simple: my fierce Barbarian — Buttsex — is saved on the Xbox 360. Seeing as PS3 players of Diablo III will be able to transfer their characters to the PS4 version of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, I can only imagine the same option would be available for Xbox owners.
But if the option isn’t available, I’ll be sad for about 12 seconds before plunking down the cash for the PS4 version. Whatevz.
