The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Link between worlds

Oh, hey. Hi there. Um, I hope I’m not being too forward with you when I tell you that you must, MUST play A Link Between Worlds because, uh, it’s one of the best Zelda games ever to come into existence. Yup. All of that hype we’ve been hearing is totally legit.

HNNNNNNGHHHHHH-TRAIN. (…What does that even mean?)

I can’t really say anything about A Link Between Worlds that would be news to anyone who has used the internet since its release, so chances are if you’re reading this you’re already familiar with the raving reviews its received from Uranus (HA) and back. So, I’ll keep this short and sweet so you can spend less time reading and more time playing. Or, if you have yet to pick up the game, hopefully this will be straw that will break your back and get yo’ ass out in the store.

Ahem. Like I said above, A Link Between Worlds lives up to the hype. It’s just non-stop fun, and if you enjoyed A Link to the Past as a young spawn as I did (or as an older spawn, whatever) this game will get the nostalgia flowing and your heart swelling into the size of a Cucco with all of the happy feels. Of course if you’ve never played A Link to the Past, or, hell, ANY Zelda game I am convinced you’re going to enjoy A Link Between Worlds.

A note, though;ย if you’re looking for a in-depth Zelda title with a buttload of challenge, just know you won’tย find that here. A Link Between Worlds is a very simple, very easy game that cuts through all of the fluff and leaves us with quick dungeons, easy enemies, but still retains all of what makes Zelda, well, Zelda. There are heart pieces to collect, Maimais to find (think of ’em as Gold Skulltulas), bottles to put things in, etc.

For Zelda lore nuts like myself, A Link Between Worlds tosses some interesting new ideas our way, most of which centers around the kingdom of Lorule. (Part of me is hoping we’ll see Lorule in future installments.)(Y’know, like in that next-gen console game we’re supposed to get.) Wall merging is easy to master and is a fun mechanic that’s incorporated smoothly as, uh, Alistair’s butt and never feels forced. And of course, exploring the two realms is extremely entertaining and can reap great rewards. ย

So, like, in short, if you’re a Zelda fan I think it’s impossible for you to dislike A Link Between Worlds. If you’ve never played a Zelda title this is a greatย one to dive into. If you’re not a Zelda fan I think you need to find yourself. (JUST KIDDING I LOVE YOU.)

For those of you who have completed A Link Between Worlds, let me know what you thought!

This might be a dumb question but i’m too lazy to use the googles. This is for the 3DS right? Since reading your “I love my 3DS” article and this one, i’m really close to buying a 3DS and I blame solely you Britt

Haha! Not a dumb question ๐Ÿ˜€ It is for the 3DS! If you do get one I hope you enjoy it! (You will.)

I would highly recommend getting yourself a 3DS. It has some really great games and from past trends, it’s going to have quite the line up over the next few years. I’d also recommend getting the Zelda Limited Edition 3DS version when you buy one. ๐Ÿ™‚

Loved this game! I’ve always wanted a Zelda in the NES/SNES style and they did not disappoint. The game was incredibly easy, but it flowed so smoothly that I just could not put it down.

The wall merging added some unique puzzles and I absolutely loved the Stalblind boss in the Thieves Dungeon. Such a fun battle. Everyone should play this game.

AGREED! Such, such a fun game. It was super relaxing and was a great way to wind down. And yeah, that boss was fun. I loved merging into his shield.

If you need a harder version of ALBW, just play hero mode, because it makes me hate everything, but damn I love this game! ๐Ÿ˜€

HAHA! Makes you hate everything huh? I might have to pass! XD

A Link to the Past is one of my favorite games of all times so I was so stocked when they announced this game! But did it live up to the hype?? Well I think it’s the greatest handheld I’ve ever played ๐Ÿ™‚ 100% agree with you on this one.
